- Once you successfully login, you will be taken to the list of applications you have access to. Click on the Settings icon:

In Settings, go to the section labeled "Client Deployment Preferences." Scroll down, it's normally at the bottom and select "Client for Java." Click OK. It will take you back to the Application select screen.

Once you open an applicaiton, you will first see a loading Java window. Let this finish loading and wait until you see another window with the title “Client for Java Connection Center.” Do not close this window or your application will not load. You must leave this window open while you’re using the citrix application, but you may minimize it.

The first time you use Outlook or any Microsoft Product you will be asked to enter your initials. With Outlook you might be asked to select your name if there are other users with similar names to yours.

If you want to save or browse documents to your hard drive. The first time you will be asked if you want to allow Citrix to have access. Click Yes.
- Configure Firefox, Internet Explorer or Netscape to connect using the Citrix Client on OSX
This configuration is intended for advanced users who have issues with the Java client. The recommended method of opening Citrix applications is to use Java.
- Connect to the Citrix web site: http://citrix.med.miami.edu

Login with your Domain Credentials.
- Once you successfully login, you will be taken to the list of applications you have access to. Click on the Settings icon:

In Settings, go to the section labeled "Client Deployment Preferences" and select "Local Client ". Click OK. Once you are back at the screen with all the applications, go to the Message Center section and click on the link"ICA Client for Macintosh OSX systems."

Next you will see a download window asking what program to use to open it. It's a zip file so you may need a program like Stuffit Expander.

Once the program has been downloaded, you can mount Citrix ICA Client.

Open the ICA Client package file and Click continue at the installer screen.

Click continue at the introduction screen.

Click continue at the Software License Agreement screen.

Click agree to continue.

Select the destination where you want to install the client.
- Click install.

Click close once the client has been installed.

Go back to the Citrix web page and login. Open an application. If you're using Mozilla Firefox, you may get a pop-up asking what to use to open this application. Make sure it says open with Citrix ICA Client. Place a check in the box "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." If you don't mark this box, you will be prompted each time with the program to use.

If you access your shared drives or your hard drives, you will be prompted with a request for access. Click on Allow.

**Tip : To access your own personal hard drive in any program, look for a drive labeled "C$ on Client." It will be located on another drive letter such as the (V:) drive. You'll also have the ability to view any shared drives you have on the Network and transfer any data among those drives.

**Home users : Although you can access this site with a modem dial-up connection of 28.8kbps or more, we recommend that you use a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) or Cable Modem connection with a local service provider in your area.
